Tigers

3-4 Years to Reception

The Tigers Room is in our Lodge - a lovely open space with big windows and a veranda stepping down onto a fully enclosed lawn and Nature Garden, where the emphasis is on preparation for reception class at their First School.

Children spend their final year at Phoenix Childcare in the Lodge. The Lodge is a beautiful timber building equipped especially for pre-school children.

It has large double opening doors onto a balcony area where there is a combination of free play and focused activities. There is a garden area with a willow wigwam, planting area and a woodland nature garden where Forest School sessions take place.

In The Lodge children work on building independence and self-confidence. There is a strong focus on School readiness and the children regularly practice Phonics, letter recognition and early writing and mark making.

All children leave to reception at the same time.
